Info Edge (India) Ltd. is an Indian e-commerce/on-line classifieds company founded in 1995 by Sanjeev Bikhchandani and headquartered in Noida, India. It owns internet properties Naukri.com, Shiksha.com, Jeevansathi.com, Naukrigulf.com and 99acres.com and stakes in many other internet businesses. Info Edge (India) is listed on the Bombay STOCK Exchange and National Stock Exchange of India

History

Info Edge was founded by Sanjeev Bikhchandani in 1995 with a partner. Sanjeev was working with HMM (now GSK) before he quit to start his own company. Info Edge is one of the earliest Internet companies in India and its online recruitment brand Naukri.com became the leading job portal. It also diversified into Online Matrimony and Online Real Estate. It was converted into a Public Limited on 27 April 2006.

Info Edge is an investor in Internet Businesses with a stake in websites like Zomato, Policybazaar India and Meritnation.
