vakilsearch is a web-portal that acts as a facilitator for seeking legal advice with lawyers, and provides documentation services, intellectual property registrations, including copyright and trademark, tax filing and accounts related services in India. Vakilsearch was founded by Hrishikesh Datar, an alumnus of National Law School of India University, Bangalore in 2010. It is based in Chennai, India.

Background

vakilsearch was founded in 2010 by Hrishikesh Datar, who graduated from National Law School of India University, Bangalore. Datar was inspired by during a seminar in Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore in his final year of law school. The technical support and website design was made by Datar's friend, Karthik Kolli, a graduate of Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.

Services

Services provided by vakilsearch includes, legal advice support, documentation services including will, rental agreements, non-disclosure agreements, incorporation of companies, Limited liability partnership firms, intellectual property registration and advice, tax filing and accounts related services. The information needed for creation of basic agreements are collected through simple questionnaire online and supplemented through telephonic calls, if needed and the document is delivered through postal services.
