Kandace Lindsey
Kandace Lindsey (born March 20) is an American singer-songwriter.
Biography
Kandace Lindsey was born in Phoenix, Arizona. She works in the genres of rock, blues, soul, and funk. Lindsey has an upcoming CD titled Phoenix Rising. Her influences include Seal, Tina Turner and Maroon 5.
Lindsey is a bilingual vocalist. She was already a session pro when she got her big start by singing a duet called Ahora quien with Marc Anthony, which resulted in embarking on several worldwide tours with Anthony, and also with Jennifer Lopez.
Lindsey can be heard at CoFFEE Bean & Tea Leaf, Verizon Wireless, DKNY and Steve Madden stores. Her voice can be recognized in commercial spots for retailers including Nike, Budweiser, Walmart, and Curves Womens Gym. Both her voice and her original recording of "Phoenix Will Fly" have been used as the theme song for the WNBA team, the Phoenix Mercury for all their home games, in half time performances for the NBA’s Phoenix Suns as well as the NBA Entertainment League Celebrity Game. She has been seen as a performer on The Oprah Winfrey Show, Saturday Night Live and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
World travelers hear her as Host of US Airways New and Now Artists channel. Her music can be heard on the in-flight channels of US Airways, American Airlines and Virgin Atlantic Airways. She performs regularly with her band at Los Angeles venues including the House of Blues, Viper Room and Hotel Café.
