Tyler Foran
Tyler 4N (born Tyler Thomas Foran, March 12, 1984, Tucson, AZ) is a singer, songwriter, author, artist and guitarist who has released a variety of solo material under burningtiresmell, and has previously been part of the bands Murgent and has played guitar in Tears of Empty Souls ("T.O.E.S."). His most recent band-related project was Falling Home, is an idea that he has been working on for a little over year, but most of his time is spent working on his follow-up collection of poetry to 2006's "Reconditioned," entitled "The Sun and The Moon." He is also currently finishing up his very first full-length novel, "Lawson City.". Tyler is the great nephew of original silver screen singing cowboy [...] Foran.
Biography
Early life
Tyler Thomas Foran grew up in Tucson, Arizona. There he wrote poetry and short stories during his free time as well as was a notable graphic artist in high school. He didn't show much interest in writing music until he left highschool in 2002. In 2003, Tyler And Co-founder Ben Louis, started Murgent a pop-punk band.
Tyler quickly learned that punk rock was not his type of genre and joked with his band that he would start his own solo act, joking that he would name the project something stupid like burningtiresmell. The rest was history.
Solo career and Falling Home
After the demise of Murgent, Tyler began writing and recording his demo album The Never Ending. After the record was recorded, he realized that he had left over poems and songs that were never featured on the collection and decided to release the collection in a book called Reconditioned, which was a story told in poetry from the ending of a relationship and the steps it took to get over it.
In 2005, Tyler made it public that he was starting a project called burningtiresmell, accompanied by a website burningtiresmell.com Tyler went back into the studio and re-recorded his collection of poems and re-released the album The Never Ending with five new songs. including a cover of "The Girl Next Door," a song made famous by punk band Screeching Weasel.
In 2007, JS Recordings signed Tyler Foran to their label. With a deal that spread across to their publishing company; Argonia Pubblishing, for his book efforts.
In June, 2008; burningtiresmell released its debut album: The Rearview, which produced hits like the title track "The Rearview," "Never Okay" and an acoustic cover of "I Believe in a Thing Called Love" made famous by the band The Darkness, on iTunes.
Tyler has recently shown interest of starting up his concept modern rock band Falling Home as soon has promoting for his new book of poetry The Sun and The Moon concludes (Which has a release date of July 21, 2009).
Tyler Foran currently resides in the Los Angeles, California area where he is working on his collection of novels and his various MusicAL projects.
Guest appearances
Tyler has played guitar for Tucson Punk-pop band, Tears of Empty Souls and also played lead guitar in country cover band Jesse Austin.
He is also the lead songwriter for rock band De False Noun, though he himself is not in the band.
Trivia
Tyler used to host a Public Access Television show in Tucson, AZ. He played guitar and sang his first songs, one being a parody of "All the Small Things" and another being the show's actual theme song. The show was called Cheez Log.
