Danger Silent
Danger Silent, is a solo project of American muscian Chris J. Vaughn. Formerly of Autumns Fall, Vaughn brings a metal/hardcore influence to his music, infused with an experimental, indie rock sound. Chris plays all INSTRUMENTS (vocals, guitar, piano, bass, drums, and more) himself, as well as all recording, mixing, and mastering at his studio, AVM Recordings.
MusicAL career
Autumns Fall (2004–2007)
Chris Vaughn started Autumns Fall (lead guitar/keys and vocals) as Autumn's End with Nick "Paris Dupont" Engen, later to be filled with Harrison Corupe (frontman/screams), Jesse Zinga (lead guitar), Eric VanAcker of The Rendering (drums), and Corey Sims of The VeraGroove (bass). The band played with such acts as From First To Last, Showbread, He Is Legend, From First To Last, A Skylit Drive, The Word Alive, Despised Icon, Shiny Toy Guns, Taking Back Sunday, The Used, and more! They acquired national buzz and attention from Columbia Records, but shortly after broke up due to musical differences after changing their name to A [...] Blonde and The Raven.
Danger Silent (2008–present)
Danger Silent is Vaughn's newest solo project that he started with Nick Stecki (former member and audio engineer of AVM Recordings). The band brings almost any style of music in existence to the table (rock, blues, hip-hop, techno, and more). Having a hard background influence, they still maintain a radio-friendly sound that most fans love! Tyler "Telle" Smith of The Word Alive is featured on Chris's newest album, as well as Robby Creasy, Jesse Lehner of Cold Blooded Theory, Kiefer Ireland of The Secrets We Keep, Harrison Corupe of Autumns Fall, Nick Stecki of Known Enemies, Marissa Murphy and more. Chris has started up a side-project with "Telle" that can be found on YouTube.
National Appearances
Chris Vaughn, as well as Danger Silent, has appeared on national TV, such as the CW (CBS/Warner) season premiere commercials for their show "Plain Jane" with their old piano ballad single "A Gift For The Present". He also received national attention on NBC and news all over the country for his "Coming Home" cover music video (originally by Diddy/Dirty Money ft. Skylar Grey) which featured Tyler "Telle" Smith of The Word Alive. Danger Silent also entered the Linkin Park "Catalyst Featuring: You" Contest with Indaba Music in 2010 and actually won a popular vote, and even Mike Shinoda's blessing on the remix. They created a music video for the song, but got disqualified in the finals by Warner Records for Chris using his own vocals on the Remix Cover. He has continued to do countless interviews from all over the world, including Germany, India, Peru, Australia, and more, and has appeared in Indie Films, and countless press releases.
