Production
Development
The film went into production the summer of 2009. James Ian Mair and James Stevenson, two young independent filmmakers came up with the story after watching several vampire films and reading about the vampire legends. Dan Turpen was immediately brought on board to serve as a creative consultant and as one of the film's central characters. Mair took the story to heart and tried to create an on-screen tale that would both frighten and entertain the audience. Principal filming on the story took place near the middle of summer. The crew had to deal with harsh heat conditions both Inside and out. The temperature was over 100 degrees some days of filming, and other times, such as in the later photography, below 0. Mair and his cast of characters pressed on to create the final product. Virgil Franklin, a well-known musician for horror films, made an appearance in the film, as well as creating the film's entire original score from scratch. Mair took around two months to edit the entire film.
