TrueBridge Capital Partners is a boutique alternative asset investment firm. TrueBridge offers venture capital fund of funds services. Founded by Mel Williams, formerly of the UNC-Chapel Hill Management Company, and Edwin Poston, formerly of the Rockefeller Foundation.

TrueBridge raised its first venture capital and growth equity-focused fund of funds in 2007. The private equity firm makes fund of funds investments to first quartile venture and growth managers investing primarily in the Information Technology sector, with some Life Sciences exposure. The investment firm is located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. TrueBridge Capital Partners has a partnership with the Kauffman Fellows Program, a two-year apprenticeship program designed to train and network future venture capitalists. TrueBridge donates a portion of its carry to the program, in exchange for access and insight.

TrueBridge focuses on Silicon Valley IT investments, but also manages assets in emerging markets, such as India and China and investments in medical technology and cleantech investors.

Among TrueBridge Capital's investors are institutional investors, including large state and corporate pension funds, foundations, university endowments, family offices and high net worth individuals.

Forbes partnered with TrueBridge to rank the top venture capitalists for the 2011 Forbes Midas List.
