Vas defrans

Vas Defrans, a five-piece experimental rock band based in North Hollywood, is probably best known for their appearance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in the summer of 20081. The group consists of Drummer Kane Ritchotte, Vocalist Brendan D'Amico, Guitarists Dash LeFrancis and Noah Gersh, and Max Whipple on bass. Originally Dash performed as the band's vocalist, but in late 2007 he decided to devote his energies to lead guitar and after a short series of auditions, Brendan was added on in early 2008.
The group is quickly becoming known for their psychedelic sound and high-energy performances. They are often associated with the experimental rock group Din Caliber and the popular punk band Billy Boy On Poison. The three groups are known as being rather close friends.

In late 2008, the band added Martin Lopez to the line-up. His current responsibilities include Organ and Mellotron.

Discography

Vas released their first E.P. Cirque Defrans, in September 20062 and they recently revealed a new single called "Lucid."3 It is speculated that the track May Be included on an upcoming EP. As of July 2008, Cirque is believed to be out of print. .. Two new songs entitled "On The Corner" and "Smiles In Silence", from their upcoming E.P., surfaced online in November '08. | | |
