The John Downs Show is a news/current events/talk program on CFMJ AM640 Toronto Radio. Started in the fall of 2007, it airs from 7:00 to 9:00 pm on non-hockey weeknights.
Format
The John Downs Show is a news-based talk program that covers local, national, and international issues. It mixes live guest InterViews, calls from listeners, and editorial comments from the host.
Contributors
Toronto District School Board Trustee Josh Matlow joins John Downs every Monday evening for the second hour of the show (8-9pm) as a political contributor And Co-host.
Technology Guru Carmi Levy joins the program at 8:30pm every friday to chat tech and take calls.
John Downs
John Downs has worked in news and talk radio in Toronto since 1999, primarily covering Toronto City Hall. His individual work has been recognized by the Radio and Television News Directors Association of Canada, including the Sam Ross Award for Best National Commentary in 2007.
