Alexandra, Princess of Leiningen
Princess Alexandra of Hanover (), Princess of Great Britain and Ireland, Duchess of Brunswick-Lüneburg (born 18 February 1959 in Hanover, Lower Saxony, Germany) is the princess consort of Andreas, 8th Prince of Leiningen. Alexandra is the youngest daughter of Ernest Augustus IV, Prince of Hanover (1914–1987) and his wife Princess Ortrud of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg (1925–1980). Her eldest brother is Ernst August V, Prince of Hanover, current head of the House of Hanover and her sister-in-law is Princess Caroline of Monaco.
Marriage and issue
Alexandra married Andreas on 5 October 1981 at Amorbach, Lower Franconia, Bavaria, Germany, in a civil marriage. They were remarried six days later in a religious ceremony at Gmunden-am-Traunsee, Upper Austria, Austria. Alexandra and Andrea have three children:
- Ferdinand Heinrich Emich Christian Karl, Hereditary Prince of Leiningen (born 8 August 1982)
- Princess Olga Margarita of Leiningen (born 23 October 1984)
- Prince Hermann of Leiningen (born 1986)
