Company evolution
Supercool Creative began as an online video creative agency and production company, but evolved into a marketing agency after identifying social media and viral marketing as new methods of promoting video content and ideas. In 2010, the company became embroiled in what Adin Miller cites as "the first anti-smoking campaign on Twitter and an important test for future online advocacy efforts." The #LoseTheCig campaign began as a request from New York actor and anti-smoking activist Gary Ploski, that Supercool Creative remove the smoking superhero logo from their website. Supercool responded by challenging Ploski to get 500 people to tweet #LoseTheCig and the company would remove the logo. The challenge was met and the logo was changed. Supercool Creative is currently responsible for the social media marketing for Street Fighter X Tekken, a AAA fighting game being released in March, 2012 by Capcom.
