Phenomblue is a full-service brand experience agency, using technology to connect people and brands. Phenomblue specializes in designing and developing engaging brand experiences through platforms, social, apps, e-commerce, mobile, digital advertising and brand development. Headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, Phenomblue has an additional office in Los Angeles. Phenomblue is a member of SoDA (the Society of Digital Agencies).

History

Phenomblue was founded in 2004 by Joe Olsen and Jimm Wagner. As one of only a few digital agencies around at the time, Phenomblue initially offered services including visual effects, animation services and software development. As the need for Web-based animation increased, Phenomblue served as a technology partner for advertising agencies creating interactive websites and high-end graphics.

Today, Phenomblue is a full-service digital agency, designing and producing [...]-edge interactive and long-term technology partnership solutions for direct clients and agency partners. Phenomblue's clients include AQUAhydrate, Gatorade, Guitar Center, Nike, Pepsi Co., Playtex, McDonald’s and Budweiser.

Phenomblue CEO Joe Olsen has also helped develop Drop Kick Ventures, a unique model to out-innovate the competition while fostering a culture that encourages evolution.

Awards

Phenomblue was named one of iMedia's 25 West Coast Agencies to Watch in 2011. The agency has received recognition from the Webby Awards, the SXSW Interactive Awards, the ADDY Awards and Microsoft’s PhizzPop Design Challenge. I Smell Brains, a mobile app by Phenomblue, was named Mobile of the Day by The Favourite Website Awards (FWAs). FWA also recognized Phenomblue’s work on Moppet Mashup, a Microsoft Surface experience created for Big Omaha in May 2009 and WatchMeBloom.com created for College of Saint Mary. In 2009, Phenomblue was named Tech Company of the year by the AIM Institute.
