SpeakingTime

SpeakingTime is an iPhone/iPod Touch application, with a tag line 'Eyes still closed, time is just a touch away.' SpeakingTime is intended to be very simple talking clock and useful if one just hates it to open eyes to see what time of that early morning it is. When this application running - it wont eat into your battery power - and thereafter each time you touch your iPhone or iPod Touch's screen, your device speak out the time. Note that time spoken will be rounded UP to nearest quarter of the hour, which means 0600 will be spoken as 'Six', 0601 will be spoken - by rounding up to nearest quarter - as 'Six Fifteen', 0718 as 'seven fifteen', 2359 as 'twelve' and so on. Simple n hopefully useful.

For those statistically inclined, this app will serve you in 2 more ways : 2. Say you touch and hear the time, get up to get ready for office or whatever it is that you do or want to do on that particular day, you could be 0 to 14 minutes ahead of your schedule (as the time you heard was potentially rounded up) ; some might like that kind of extra time. 1. When you actually get up - in all your senses, up and running - you can take a look at your i-device's screen to see when was it last time that you touched the screen to know the time. Thats because this app will also display time on screen , but that display is updated only when you touch the screen.
