Rob DeMello

Rob DeMello is a sports director for KHON2-TV, the Honolulu Fox affiliate. DeMello also reports and anchors weekly for KHON2, as well as produce fellow KHON2 sports anchor Kanoa Leahey's show, the Leahey and Leahey Show.

Prior to KHON2, DeMello worked at KITV, an ABC affiliate in 2002. He worked as a producer, reporter, and anchor for seven years. From 2007 to 2009, he was the sports director at AM 1500 Hawaii's Sporting news, where he produced Leahey and Leahey Live And Co-hosted the Rob and Russ Show with Russell Yamanoha.

In 2010, he joined KHON2 as a weekend sports anchor, and two years later he was promoted to sports director.

DeMello attended Kailua High School where he got "into the business" as a sophomore, when ESPN's Neil Everett at KGMB offered him an internship that summer. He worked under Everett until he graduated from high school. He later attended Hawaii Pacific University.
