PaYard

PaYard (full name: Payard Pay Platform Inc.) is a Canadian money services business (MSB) registered in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The company provides payment accounts, payment cards, international money transfer services, and currency exchange services for individuals and businesses.

History

The company was founded in 2023 by Olena Kalinina-Sikan, an international financial consulting specialist. The idea for the company emerged from observing the difficulties entrepreneurs faced when opening accounts with foreign financial institutions. According to the founder, following the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, she was forced to leave Ukraine, like millions of other Ukrainians. Her personal experience of encountering difficulties while opening accounts with foreign banks became one of the main motivations for establishing the platform.

As a money services business (MSB), PaYard is registered with the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (FINTRAC), Canada's financial intelligence unit and anti-money laundering regulator. The company was assigned registration number M23662337 on 1 December 2023, with registration valid until 30 September 2026.

The PaYard mobile application became available on Google Play in May 2024 and is also distributed through the App Store for iOS devices.

In addition to its Canadian entity, the affiliated company Payard Finance s.r.o. (Company ID: 19555792) was incorporated in the Czech Republic in 2023. The company is registered in Prague, in the Žižkov district.
