Our Sound 2011

Our Sound: The Asia-Pacific Song Contest 2010 was to have been the first EDition of Our Sound: The Asia-Pacific Song Contest. The contest was to have taken place in Andheri Sports Complex in Mumbai, India in November 2010, but the "Our Sound" Facebook page has claimed that the competition has been delayed yet again, due to unknown reasons. As of now, it is still unsure whether or not the event will take place at all.

18 Countries were set to participate in the Performance show on 26 November and the Grand Final on 28 November which was to broadcast live in 44 countries and online.

Schedule

Each country was expected to choose its entry for the contest through their own selection process in July 2010. Some countries opted to select their entry through an internal selection, where the representing network chose both the song and artist, while others opted to hold national finals where the public chose the song, the artist, or both. The stars could sing their songs in a language of their choice.

The main contest event was due to take place over an entire weekend in November 2010. There would've been a 'Performance Show' on Friday, November 26, where each country will perform their songs. Viewers at home would then be given the chance to vote for their favourite song(s), via SMS and/or the Internet. The results would be announced on the 'Winners Show' on Sunday, November 28 – 2 days after the 'Performance Show'). A spokesperson from each participating country will award the 10 songs which received the most votes from viewers. Using the traditional Eurovision Song Contest announcement system; points one to eight will be awarded to the songs placed 10th to 3rd place, ten points to the 2nd highest, and a maximum of twelve points to the song which received the most televotes.

However, the "Our Sound" Facebook page has claimed that the competition has been delayed yet again, due to unknown reasons at a later date.
