Longsight international festival

__NOTOC__ The Longsight International Festival is an international cultural festival which celebrates the best of the Longsight area of Manchester. The festival is organised by Life Plus an international NGO and it is supported by Manchester City Council.

Longsight International Festival is also referred to as LIF.

LIF is an annual event; the first EDition happened in July 2008. The 2nd Festival will take place on August 16th 2009.

2008 festival

The LIF 2008 Festival took place in July 2008 at Longsight Library.

2009 festival

The 2009 edition of the festival will take place on Sunday the 16th of August at Longsight Market. Longsight's Got Talent will also be staged for the very first time and aims to showcase the best of local talent.
