The event sees extensive participation from global carriers, mobile/wireless operators, Internet service providers, Voice over IP providers and technology partners from the voice, Data, Satellite, sub-sea and fixed line markets who buy and sell voice and data products and services. According to event demographics, ITW 2010 attracted 33% of its delegates from North America, 25% from Europe, 19% from Asia Pacific, 12% from Africa and Middle East and 11% from Central and South America and the Caribbean. ITW is a place for extensive networking including numerous meetings and social events taking place during the three days. The Marriott Wardman Hotel has been the host for the event since 2009 and each year Capacity Media has exclusive access to the hotel; guests not registered for ITW are not granted access onto the premises. On-site meeting space ranges from exhibition areas, bilateral tables and meeting rooms that are made available for delegates to conduct pre-planned and impromptu meetings.

Registration is mandatory, with a cost of $500 for the entire three days, and provides access to all areas. All registered delegates have access to use Deal Center, the online meeting management system, for several months prior to ITW and one month after, allowing delegates to plan one-on-one meetings leading up to and after ITW.
