EWA New England Heavyweight Championship
The EWA New England Heavyweight Championship was a professional wrestling heavyweight championship in Eastern Wrestling Alliance (EWA). It remained ACTIVE until May 5, 2005, when EWA went on hiatus was subsequently discontinued.
The inaugural champion was El Tornado, who won a battle royal on June 1, 2001, last eliminating Adam Booker, to become the first EWA New England Heavyweight Champion. No wrestler has held the title more than once. At 366 days, Antonio "The Promise" Thomas' first and only reign is the longest in the title's history. Cueball's reign was the shortest in the history of the title lasting 56 days. Overall, there have been 8 reigns shared between 8 wrestlers, with one vacancy, and 1 deactivation.
