Dew Tour 2008
The Dew Tour debuted in June 2005 and is a five-stop BMX/Motocross/Skateboard series. There are five major, multi-discipline events with a cumulative points system, a $2.5 million competitive purse - the largest in action sports - and an additional $1 million bonus pool based upon year-end standings.
With stops in Baltimore, Md.; Cleveland, Ohio; Portland, Ore.; Salt Lake City, Utah and Orlando, Fla., the 2008 Dew Tour ran from June through October, crowning six Dew Cup champions at Season's End.

Based on points accumulated throughout the year, Jamie Bestwick and Daniel Dhers were honored as co-Athletes of the Year, a first in the history of the Dew Tour.
BMX: Dirt
With a different winner at each of the five stops of the 2008 Dew Tour, the points race was one of the tightest in the history of the Tour. Coming into the PlayStation Pro, just 25 points separated Cameron White in first, Luke Parslow in second and Corey Bohan in third. However, White's third-place finish in Orlando was enough to earn him his first-ever Dew Cup title.

BMX: Park
Unlike its dirt counterpart, the BMX park discipline was a runaway for Daniel Dhers once again. After winning the first four events of the season, Dhers was poised to become the only Dew Tour athlete to sweep an entire season. However, Ryan Nyquist came out of nowhere in Orlando, winning the event and ending Dhers' bid for the perfect season. However, the Venezuelan's 485 earned him his third consecutive Dew Cup and a share of the Athlete of the Year award.

BMX: Vert
It came as no surprise to anyone that Jamie Bestwick was on top of his game again on the 2008 Dew Tour. But it was a surprise how tight the points race ended up being—as Chad Kagy, fully healed and with his sites set on Bestwick, came out with back-to-back second-place finishes behind Bestwick. Kagy claimed the win at the Wendy's Invitational, but Bestwick answered back with two straight victories to end the season. Bestwick once again finished on top of the BMX vert standings, claiming his fourth straight Dew Cup and becoming the only athlete to hold such a distinction.

Freestyle Motocross
With a three-event FMX season on the 2008 Dew Tour, each stop was more critical than ever for the riders. After Australian Blake 'Bilko' Williams won the first stop in Baltimore, Adam Jones took charge of the field, winning the final two events to claim his first Dew Cup.

Skateboard: Park
At the beginning of the 2008 skate park season, it looked like Ryan Sheckler had his eye on his fourth consecutive Dew Cup, winning at the Panasonic Open. But Paul Rodriguez, who took second in Baltimore, upset the defending Dew Cup champ, winning in Cleveland. Sheckler answered back, taking the title at the middle stop of the Tour. However, 2007 Free Flow Tour winner Chaz Ortiz showed everyone how to successfully "Flow to Pro," winning the Toyota Challenge in front of nearly 26,000 fans and setting the stage for a showdown in Orlando. With just 15 points between first and third, Ortiz was victorious once more. The win sealed the deal for Ortiz, and the 14 year old skated away with the Dew Cup.

Dew Tour rewards consistency, and this was proven in 2008. With three second-place finishes on the 2008 Dew Tour, Pierre-Luc Gagnon seemed to be out of the race for the Dew Cup. Sitting in fourth place going into the final event, PLG needed a win to earn his first-ever year-end title. He did just that, jumping over Andy Macdonald, Bob Burnquist and Bucky Lasek to claim the Dew Cup.
