Dew Tour 2007

The Dew Tour debuted in June 2005 and is a five-stop BMX/Motocross/Skateboard series. There are five major, multi-discipline events with a cumulative points system, a $2.5 million competitive purse - the largest in action sports - and an additional $1 million bonus pool based upon year-end standings.

With stops in Baltimore, Md.; Cleveland, Ohio; Portland, Ore.; Salt Lake City, Utah and Orlando, Fla., the 2007 Dew Tour ran from June through October, crowning six Dew Cup champions at Season's End.

Based on points accumulated throughout the year, Nate Adams was awarded the title of 2007 Dew Tour Athlete of the Year.

BMX: Dirt

After winning the first two stops of the 2007 season, Ryan Nyquist sat comfortably atop the year-long leaderboard. However, wins by Dennis Enarson and James Foster at the Vans Invitational and the Toyota Challenge made things interesting. Luke Parslow claimed his first-ever Dew Tour victory in Orlando to cap off the season, but Nyquist hung on to claim the first Dew Cup of his career.

BMX: Park

Proving that he is the man to beat on the BMX park course, Daniel Dhers blazed out of the gates, winning the first two stops of the 2007 Dew Tour. However, 2006 Free Flow Tour BMX park winner Mike Spinner took home top honors at the Vans Invitational, while Scotty Cranmer's frontflip tailwhip earned him the win in Salt Lake City. Dhers' win at the PlayStation Pro cemented his place atop the standings, earning him the Dew Cup once again.

Skateboard: Park

A force to be reckoned with on the skate park course, Ryan Sheckler claimed his third straight Dew Cup with wins at the Panasonic Open, the Right Guard Open and the Toyota Challenge. With the Dew Cup already in hand going into the final stop of the 2007 Dew Tour, Sheckler was edged out by Greg Lutzka for the Milwaukee native's second win on the circuit. The story in Orlando, however, was the performance of the 2007 Free Flow Tour skate park winner, Chaz Ortiz. As a 13-year-old amateur going up against the best pros in the skate park world, Ortiz finished in sixth place.

Skateboard: Vert

In the two years prior, Shaun White had competed in the first half of the Dew Tour then focussed on snowboarding as the winter season approached. But in 2007, White committed to the entire Dew Tour circuit, looking to prove that he was as much a threat on the vert ramp as he was in the halfpipe. With wins at the first three stops, it seemed that he was doing just that. Even though Pierre-Luc Gagnon and Bucky Lasek claimed wins at the final two stops of the Tour, White's lead was too big to overcome, and he was crowned the 2007 skate vert Dew Cup winner.
