Alpha Bah
Alpha Bah (born April 3, 1987) is a former Guinean footballer. He most recently played for Trois-Rivières Attak in the Canadian Soccer League.
Playing career
Before arriving to Canada, Bah played with the youth teams of FC Girondins de Bordeaux from the U14 to the U18 levels. Once he arrived to Canada in 2005, Bah tryout with the Montreal Impact of the USL First Division but failed to receive a contract from the Impact. In 2005 Bah signed with Panellinios, in his first season with Panellinios he helped the team win the he Quebec championship and Cup, and finished fourth at the Canadian championship.
Trois-Rivières Attak
On May 2, 2007 the newly expansion Trois-Rivières Attak of the Canadian Soccer League announced the signing of Bah. On July 7 Bag recorded his first professional goal in a 2-1 victory over the North York Astros. Throughout the regular season he helped Attak to claim their first piece of silverware by winning the Open Canada Cup, and finishing runners-up in the National Division. He helped the club clinch a playoff spot, but eventually lost in the semi-finals to the Serbian White Eagles by a score of 2-1.
Before the season began, Bah was one of the four Attak players to be invited to the Montreal Impact training camp, but failed to earn a contract from the Impact. On April 18, 2008 Bah re-signed with the Attak. Bah helped the Attak claim the club's first National Division title, and reach the final of the CSL Cup, where once again the Attak were defeated by White Eagles which ended in 2-2 draw and decided through penalties by a score of 2-1.
National teams
Though born in Guinea Bah has represented Canada through the youth system. He made his debut with the Canada U-18 National Development Team on September 29, 2005 in a 2-1 win against New Zealand. And he made his second appearance on October 1, 2005 against New Zealand again in a 1-0 loss.
