Pitcher Matt Ryan was named to the league's mid-season All-Star team. Chad Hermansen was named to the post-season squad as a designated hitter.
Second baseman Matt Howard led the league with the fewest strikeouts per plate appearance (1:18.2 PA) and best fielding percentage (.982) at his position. Pitcher Jimmy Anderson had the best winning percentage (.846, 11–2), and Todd Van Poppel threw the most strikeouts.
