Katie Marie is a multi instrumentalist and songwriter hailing from Totnes, Devon UK. Born in the nearby town of Torquay on September 25th 1980, Katie has been gigging since the age of 16. In 1999 she released her first single Have My Love and within it's first week became #1 in the many online charts including Soundclick.com. It stayed in the #1 slot for a further 7 weeks straight and since then it has been downloaded over 15,000 times.
Katie Marie not only sings on all her own work, but also plays drums, bass guitar, rhythm guitar and piano to a high standard and is regarded amoungst many as one of the UK's most talented female musicians; but as of yet remains relativly undiscovered.
Katie Marie has two CD releases, her first EP Been Here Before released in 2000 (which is no longer available to buy) and also Confessions released in 2003.
Maulana Abdul Haq Vidyarthi (1888–1977) joined the Lahore Ahmadiyya Movement in 1907. In 1914, Maulana Muhammad Ali and his associates founded the Ahmadiyya Anjuman Isha‘at Islam missionary society in Lahore and Maulana Abdul Haq joined. He spent the rest of his life there as missionary, journalist, lecturer, writer and scholar. He studied ancient languages and scriptures to discover prophecies about the prophet Muhammad and to refute negative allegations against Islam. He earned the title vidyarthi due to his extensive knowledge of the Hindu Vedas.
From 1918 to the 1940s, he participated in public debates against Arya Samaj Hindus and Christian missionaries. He published an Urdu translation of part of a Hindu scripture, the Yajur Veda.

Many people come to Thailand for gender reassignment because, under existing Thai law, it is not necessary to comply with the Standards of Care (SOC) as set by the Harry Benjamin International Gender Foundation. While individual surgeons may set their own standards, including full compliance with the SOC, other surgeons may accept patients based on a single psychiatric referral asserting that the patient is diagnosed as transsexual, and is competent to understand the irreversible nature of surgery.
These rules can be a major benefit for transsexuals who, for various reasons, cannot meet the rigorous standards of the SOC, and who would otherwise be condemned to live their lives without proper treatment. Common problems include lack of money to pay for therapy, living in an area where there are no qualified therapists, or dealing with a therapist who is adamant about having the patient complete the Real Life Test – living in the desired gender role, at a time when the patient is unable to make a living. Unfortunately, bypassing the SOC can lead to people who are not true transsexuals obtaining surgery, to their ultimate regret – or, in some cases, true transsexuals who discover that other factors in life may be equally important to satisfaction and survival. While the overwhelming majority of persons who undergo gender reassignment are pleased with the long term outcome, this is because the majority of cases have been well diagnosed. If the diagnosis is not correct, or if the patient is unable to adjust to life in the desired gender, the results may be tragic.
