Mita Chatterjee (Actress)

Mita Chatterjee (also spelled Mita Chattopadhyay) is a renowned Indian Bengali film and television actress. She has been a prominent figure in the Bengali entertainment industry since the 1950s. Her versatile performances have been equally appreciated by audiences across the golden era of Bengali cinema and the modern mega-serial era.[3]

Early Life and Education

Mita Chatterjee was highly meritorious from her childhood. In recognition of her academic excellence, she was given a 'double promotion' during her school years. Alongside her studies, she had a deep passion for music. She secured the first position in the All-India Music Competition during her childhood and won multiple awards in music competitions throughout her school life. [4]

Theatre and Early FoundationHer acting foundation was built under the guidance of the legendary theatre personality, Natacharya Sisir Kumar Bhaduri. She received her initial training in acting under him at the famous 'Srirangam' Theatre.
