Wireless Infrastructure Group (WIG) is a British telecommunications infrastructure company. It owns and operates telecommunications infrastructure, including mobile telephone towers, rooftop sites, distributed antenna systems (DAS), and small-cell networks. The company is owned by Brookfield Infrastructure.
History
Wireless Infrastructure Group was established in 2006 and began operations in 2007 as an independent owner and operator of telecommunications infrastructure in the United Kingdom.
In 2016, 3i Infrastructure acquired a minority stake in the company. In 2017, it increased its ownership to a majority stake through a further investment.
In 2019, Brookfield Infrastructure acquired Wireless Infrastructure Group in a transaction valued at approximately £575 million.
In 2020, Wireless Infrastructure Group submitted written evidence to the UK Parliament's Digital Infrastructure inquiry. The submission discussed rural mobile coverage, telecommunications infrastructure deployment and regulatory issues affecting wireless infrastructure.
Operations

Its portfolio includes telecommunications towers, rooftop sites, distributed antenna systems and small-cell infrastructure. The company operates more than 3,000 wireless infrastructure sites in Europe and North America.
