'''Youssef Hazem Nofal''' (also ''Youssef Hazem'', {{lang-ar|يوسف حازم نوفل}}; born May 19, 2000) is an Egyptian competitive [[Swimming (sport)|swimmer]]. An Egyptian national champion, he competes in the breaststroke, individual medley (IM) and freestyle distance events. He is currently representing [[Al Ahly Sporting Club]]. Youssef used to be the national champion since 2013 for 200 m Breaststroke, 400 m IM, 800 m Freestyle and 1,500 m Freestyle events.

== Early Start ==
Son to Telecom Engineers Hazem Nofal and Shireen Samir, Youssef was born in Cairo, Egypt in 2000, and raised in Cairo, Egypt. He has started swimming at the age of four at the [[Al Ahly Sporting Club]].

== Academic ==

'''Youssef''''s ultimate goal is to reach an outstanding athletic and academic achievements. He is hard worker, persistent&nbsp;and he put in a lot of dedication and willing to put in a lot more to reach his goals in a more professional environment.

Youssef has been waking up at 4 o'clock in the morning for the past five years before going to school and attending his classes then going back to the swimming pool at 4 o'clock in the afternoon to attend another swimming practice session then to the gym.

Youssef believes with all the appropriate training, he will be the next [[Cameron van der Burgh]] or [[Adam Peaty]] or [[Ryan Lochte]].

Youssef loves working with electronics and tinkering with gadgets. He believes with passion and dedication to specialized academic studies he can be the next [[Steve Jobs]].
