Xypex Chemical Corporation

Xypex Chemical Corporation is headquartered in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada and is the developer and manufacturer of "Xypex Concrete Waterproofing by Crystallization".

Xypex is a chemical treatment for the waterproofing, protection and repair of concrete. When this grey powder compound is mixed with water and applied to concrete structures, it prevents the penetration of water and other liquids from any direction by causing a catalytic reaction that produces a non-soluble crystalline formation within the pores and capillary tracts of concrete and cement-based materials. This crystalline technology was developed in 1969.

Application Methods

The crystalline product line consists of three application methods:

  1. Coating (applied as a slurry-coat)
  2. Additive (mixed in at the time of batching)
  3. Dryshake (trowelled into horizontal surfaces)

Environment

  • No VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds)
  • Concrete with Xypex can be recycled
  • Enhances durability for longer building life
  • Produced globally, distributed locally
  • Atmospheric CO2 reduction
  • Permanent solution
  • Material and labor reduction

Xypex is registered with programs ISO and LEED.
