Xyclone
Xyclone, (born Roje Roman Robinson, November 2, 1987) is a Jamaican reggae artist from Waterford, St. Catherine. He earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Finance.
Career
After more than five years of MusicAL activity, Xyclone got a break when he was introduced to his future mentor Spragga Benz at a show in Hartford, Connecticut. From there, Xyclone toured the United States led by Spragga Benz’s Red Square Productions label and performed in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Florida, New York, Maryland and California. Xyclone’s first official single was "Back it Up" on the Audacity Riddim label in 2011.
Xyclone then signed a management deal with Survivor Slim of Tropical Heat Productions. Operating as one entity, Red Square Tropical Heat Production, or RSQTHP Music Group, released two Xyclone albums in 2012; Best Of Two Baddest Dj’s and Xyclone, Jah Malo & Friends which featured Capleton, Future Fambo, Munga and Determine.
Xyclone’s latest EP, Everything Red Out featured the single “Back Pocket Rag”, as well as features from Esco and fellow Red Square member Greg Hines. Other top releases include “Top Shottas Anthem”, a track dedicated to Spragga Benz and featuring Deva Bratt, “Dancehall Wine (Slow Wine)” produced by Delly Ranx, “Gangsters” featuring Determine, "Woiii" distributed by VP Records partner VPAL, “Get Your Money Up” with Esco and “It’s On” with Kevin Lyttle, Red Rat, Delly Ranx and Deva Bratt.
In November 2012, Xyclone released his “Everything Red Out Mixtape” mixed by former VP Records official DJ, King Waggy Tee, and his team Waggy Tee Movements. The mixtape received over 6,000 downloads in the first week and thousands of plays on streaming services.
