XXXG-01S Shenlong Gundam
The XXXG-01S Gundam Shenlong is a gundam type mobile suit in the fictional anime series Mobile Suit Gundam Wing.

When the five scientists who designed the XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Zero in AC 180 went their separate ways, each of them took copies of the plans for their original Gundam design. Master O, who went into hiding in the L5 colonies, then went on to design and build his own Gundam based on their original plans. With the support and blessing of the powerful Long clan, Master O built the XXXG-01S Shenlong Gundam in anticipation of Operation Meteor. However, the Shenlong's intended pilot, Meilan Long, was killed during an encounter with United Earth Sphere Alliance and OZ forces in AC 194. Her betrothed, Wufei Chang, took her place as the Shenlong's pilot.
The Shenlong is built from the super-strong Gundanium alloy, although it is the most lightly armored compared to other Gundams. This is due to the Shenlong's specialization as a close-combat machine. In addition to the standard head-mounted vulcan guns, the Shenlong is equipped with a beam glaive and a shield that can also be used for offensive purposes, mainly by being thrown at enemy mobile suits. However, the most powerful weapon in the Shenlong's arsenal is the Dragon Fang mounted on its extendable right arm. Dual plasma flamethrowers mounted on the dragon fang are capable of melting enemy armor with ease. Out of the 5 gundams, the Shenlong is the most capable of performing in space combat at almost its full potential. The Shenlong fought in space both prior and during Operation Meteor, although it would still require further upgrades to make it fully space capable. After being captured by OZ it was rebuilt into the more powerful XXXG-01S2 Altron Gundam.
Long Meilan, Chang Wufei's wife, believed that she was a descendant of Nataku, a legendary Chinese war god. She would often call herself by that name, and when she died, Wufei promised to honor her memory. Since then, he has prefered to refer the Shenlong Gundam (and its upgraded variant, the Altron) as "Nataku".
The Chinese word 'Shen-Long' roughly translates to 'God-Dragon' and means "Mystic Dragon" or "Mighty Dragon", "Shen" being both an adjective and noun.
History
While in the incomplete stage the Shenlong was used by Chang Wufei to aid his wife Long Meilan in defending their colony from an Earth Alliance and OZ operation on murdering the their clan with Biological weapons as part of the Alliance's plan to scrap Colony A0206. Wufei arrived in time to back up Meilan and her prototype unit of the OZ-00MS Tallgeese against OZ's mobile suits. However when an OZ solider was intending to sacrifice himself to destroy the Shenlong in an attempt avoid disgracing his master Treize Khushrenada, Meilan moved her Tallgeese unit in the way and sacrificed herself to save Wufei. After deciding to take on Meilan's quest for justice, Wufei did not want to use the Shenlong as a tool for [...] and did not want to take part in Operation Meteor's planned colony drop. Wufei chose to instead take his Gundam to Earth to fight OZ's forces directly in a bid for revenge.
Upon arriving on Earth the Shenlong was used in a variety of missions including the attack on the Lake Victoria base as well as the battle at New Edwards, although Wufei arrived at New Edwards too late to PReVENT Gundam Pilot Heero Yuy from [...] the Earth Alliance leaders. Wufei then pursed Treize alongside Gundam Pilot Trowa Barton and after getting past Lady Une and her OZ-06MS Leo unit, fought Treize in a sword duel and lost.
Afterwards Wufei refused to fight with the Shenlong again feeling that he wasn't good enough after losing to Treize. While in China Wufei encountered former Earth Alliance member Sally Po who was now working against OZ as a guerilla leader. Although initially hesitant, Wufei was convinced to pilot his Gundam again and used it to save her and her rebel troops from OZ troops and succeeded in taking down former Earth Alliance member Colonel Bunt who was intending on joining OZ by handing the Shenlong as well as control of China to them.
After assisting Duo Maxwell and Quatre Raberba Winner in the Singapore space port, Wufei returned to space with his Shenlong. The Shenlong was attacked OZ's Space Fortress Barge, however after it was caught in the path of Barge's Beam Cannon it's Dragon Fang was destroyed forcing Wufei to retreat. The Shenlong was eventually overwhelmed by OZ's Taurus Mobile suits and ran out of power due to a lack of supplies and was taken back to OZ's Lunar Base. There it was placed in storage and the Gundam Scientists secretly rebuilt it into the XXXG-01S2 Altron Gundam.
