Xmas Lights
Xmas Lights are a six-piece band from Oxford. Their music incorporates elements of Metal, Hardcore, Mathcore, Electronica, and Ambient music.. The band have previously released EPs on the label Trojan Horse Recordings, and are now currently signed with Sleep Is For The Weak, with whom they will be releasing their first full-length album in 2008.
Background
The band was formed by guitarist James Gray King and drummer Sam Howitt in 2004, then both of local metal favourites Near Life Experience. They were soon joined by members Umair Chaudhry (Electronics/Vocals), Marco Ruggeiro (Vocals), Simon Tierney (Bass), Luke Curtis (Guitar), and eventually drummer Dave McDonald (who replaced Sam Howitt after his departure). The line-up continued to change over the past few years before reaching it's current state, with the additions of bassist Matthew Mooney, guitarist Charlie Cunningham, and vocalist/sampler Nick Brewer (one half of local Oxford act !Mounted Insanity Cannon!).
