William Jordan (bigamist)

William Jordan is a convicted conman, bigamist and paedophile, who convinced his victims that he worked for the CIA.

Jordan was born in America, but was given leave to remain in the UK due to marriage to a British Citizen.

Several women were taken in by Jordan and made to part with hundreds of thousands of pounds. The judge described him as "an inveterate exploiter of vulnerable women, not just financially but also emotionally." To explain the other women, Jordan had told each of his wives that the other wife was an intelligence agent.

He was sentenced to five years in jail in December 2006 1 and after serving time he was deported back to the USA on 1 May 2009.
