National Express West Midlands service 322 is a bus route operating in the West Midlands, England. The service is subsidised by the West Midlands Passenger Transport Executive, Centro.

History

The route is made up of the combination of two ex-Pete's Travel services, 22 and 24 serving The Butts and Paddock. Services 22 and 24 had originally been introduced on a commercial basis by Green Bus Service of Great Wyrley but proved to be not commercially viable hence these services later being operated by different operators. The usual type vehicle used by Green Bus Service was a Freight Rover Sherpa minibus.

The routes were combined and still continued to be operated by Pete's Travel until in 2004, Choice Travel took over the route.

In 2008, A2Z Travel took over the route from Choice Travel.

In March 2009, after A2Z Travels licence was revoked, National Express West Midlands started operating the service.

Places Served

The route starts at Walsall Bus Station, before travelling just under a mile North to the local council estate, The Butts. It then returns into Walsall town centre, but not the bus station, instead visiting the far East of the town. It then continues into the Paddock, an area less than a mile to the East of the town centre. It then returns back to Walsall bus station.
