History
Weave Living was founded In 2017, in Hong Kong by Sachin Doshi as a response to the gap in the market for professionally managed rental housing. In August 2018, the company launched its first residential rental property, Weave Studios, Prince Edward (formally known as Weave on Boundary), a co-living property in Prince Edward, Hong Kong.
That same year in 2018, Warburg Pincus, a leading global private equity firm focused on growth investing, invested USD181 million into the company. With Warburg Pincus on board, Weave aims to grow its rental accommodation portfolio by launching new living options to cater to different target demographics in Hong Kong as well as cities across Asia Pacific.
In 2021, Weave Living launched two new living options in Hong Kong, Weave Suites - Central West, its first serviced apartment in Sai Ying Pun, Hong Kong; then Weave Residences - Mid-Levels, its first luxury home in Mid-Levels, Hong Kong.
Weave Living expanded regionally in Asia Pacific, beginning with Weave Suites - Midtown in Kampong Glam, Singapore in 2022, followed by Japan in 2023 where it introduced two new living options - Weave Place, a furnished apartment brand.s In 2025, the company launched Weave Base in Tokyo, offering unfurnished apartments for longer-term residents. and Weave Base, unfurnished apartments for longer-term residents.
Weave Living entered the rental markets in South Korea and Australia in 2024 and 2025 respectively. In 2026, Weave Living introduced its sixth consumer brand, Weave Campus, by rebranding existing properties in Hong Kong into student accommodation. Launched its sixth living options in Hong Kong, a student-only accommodation branded as Weave Campus.
As of July 2026, Weave Living owns and manages 57 residential rental properties with a combined AUM (assets under management) of over USD4b, and welcomed close to 20,000 residents in over 4,000 units across Asia Pacific.

As part of its expansion, Weave Living has partnered with institutional investors across the Asia-Pacific region. The company has received investment from Warburg Pincus since 2018, along with partnerships with other real estate investors, including GIC, BGO, MUFG, PGIM Real Estate, BlackRock, KKR, LaSalle, TPG, Nuveen Investment Management, and TPG Angelo Gordon.
Awards and recognition
Weave Living was shortlisted in 2023 for Best Deal of the Year at the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors Hong Kong Awards for its acquisition and conversion of the Rosedale Kowloon Hotel into residential units.
That same year, the company also received Home Journal’s Best Design in Furnished Apartment award. In 2024 and 2025, it won the Residential Investor of the Year: Asia Pacific award at the PERE Awards. In 2025, Weave Suites – Hillside received the Editor’s Choice distinction in the Honeycombers Readers’ Choice Awards.
