Vishwa Jagriti Mission
Vishwa Jagriti Mission (Universal Awakening Mission) is a social cultural organization engaged in reviving the spiritual and cultural richness of India. VJM was established by His Holiness Sudhanshu Ji Maharaj in March 1991. The objective of the mission is to invoke the best in mankind by preaching the principles of kindness, truth, simplicity, politeness, and piety. Through this mission the Saint, Sudhanshu Ji Maharaj also wishes to provide guidance for performing spiritual activities like Yoga and Satsang-Sankirtan (chanting and singing devotional songs in congregation).
There are millions of devotees of the mission worldwide who keep faith in the religious leadership of Sudhanshu Ji Maharaj. Millions listen to him on electronic media. Mission has 65 branches and 18 Ashrams (hermitages) in India and abroad.
Activities
The mission has constructed and established charitable hospitals, magnificent temples, Gurukul, Public Schools in Tribal Areas, homes for the aged, shades and dwellings for the cows, libraries and reading rooms. Mission also extends financial and material help to those who suffer from natural calamities. Blood donation camps are periodically organized and blood is donated for the army personnel.
Publications
A monthly magazine ‘Jeevan Sanchetna’ (Awareness of Life) is published in Hindi and English by Vishwa Jagriti Mission having circulation of approximately 100,000. Publication is dedicated towards preservation of ancient cultural heritage of India.
‘Dharmdoot’ (Messenger of Faith) is a monthly newspaper circulated through VJM that keeps the followers informed about the activities of the mission.
