VHFFS
VHFFS, also Virtual Hosting For Free Software, is a server management software.
How IT Works
VHFFS is a set of tools to manage a shared hosting platform. VHFFS can provide users of the platform a user-friendly interface to manage the services they provide. Administrators have tools to manage the platform and automate the most repetitive tasks. VHFFS is designed to co-operate with the server software such as Apache, Exim and Subversion.
VHFFS consists of three main parts: the API, the Panel, and robots.
The API centerpiece of VHFFS provides an interface to access the database and manages access rights. It contains almost all of the code and provides the necessary interfaces for the coherence of different objects (a user, group, a service ...).
The panel allows users and their management team to carry out tasks. Users can request a new group or new service, add people to their group or configure services. The directors use to list demands to moderate and modify an object, give more quota to a project or simply to get statistics on the platform.
The robots are being launched at regular intervals through cron. They can call the API functions on services via the panel modified so effective amendment.
