Twenty Eight (Band)
The band formed in early 2005 and has built up a solid reputation in Cape Cod, MA as well as the surrounding areas all throughout Massachusetts.
Name origin
There is no definitive answer to where the name "Twenty Eight" came from. Some rumors suggest that it is derived from a main route on Cape Cod named Route 28, since the band got its start at the ice cream parlor,(Krista K's) owned by the lead singer's family. However, nothing has been confirmed.
MusicAL style
The bands sound has been compared to the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Dave Matthews Band, Hootie And The Blowfish, and countless others of many different genres. This is almost entirely because Twenty Eight often performs cover songs from many bands, choosing not to define itself with one single style in lieu of their stated goal to "bring back the party-concert experience."
