Trillium Circle
Trillium Circle is an alternative/emo band from Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Formed in early 2005, the band has four members: Taylor Katt (vocals/guitar), Brandon Vannoord (drums), Larry Mckay (bass) and Joshua Wesley (guitar/screams). The band's original name was Sound Plague, but later changed it to Trillium Circle, because the band thought that Sound Plague was less genre-appropriate. Some of their influences include Thursday, Story of the Year, Coheed and Cambria, The Used and Dashboard Confessional. Due to differences beyond their control, the band broke up in the summer of 2006, much to the dismay of their friends and fans.
Trillium Circle combines snap-tight rock guitar rhythms with soaring harmony-laden vocals. There are also elements of the bands deep roots in heavy metal, punk and acoustic rock.
