Tom Baigrie
Tom Baigrie is the co-owner of Baigrie Davies and LifeSearch, two of the UK’s leading independent financial adviser companies, as well as the Managing Director of LifeSearch and advice website, GetLifeRight.co.uk.
In 1987 Tom Baigrie set up the wealth management firm Baigrie Davies with colleague, Arthur Davies. Starting off with only a very small number of employees, it is now an established and very successful firm in The City of London.
By 1998 Tom Baigrie decided to launch LifeSearch, an telephone based financial adviser that specialised in Protection Insurance (Life Insurance, Critical Illness Insurance and Income Protection being the main policies). Financial advice is generally seen as the preserve of the wealthy and, with LifeSearch, Tom Baigrie aimed to take protection advice to the wider public..
The two companies have won over 40 major industry awards as of September 2009.
In July 2009, LifeSearch launched Real Life Cover, with Fortis Life. It is the first time an independent financial adviser has designed and launched a protection product. It is unique in that it pays out against anything in life that can cause consumers to lose your income (such as death, illness, disability, unemployment, caring for a close relative) except pregnancy and jail.
In May 2009, Tom launched GetLifeRight.co.uk, the UK’s first financial protection website that offers financial advice in a quick and simple format.
