Thomas Paty Stamps

Thomas Paty Stamps (May 10, 1952 - December 23, 2003) was a successful Atlanta bankruptcy attorney whose litigation against the federal government during the farm crisis of the 1980's saved nearly 100 family owned farms in Georgia and Texas.

In 1985, Tom Stamps wrote the following to his cousin, Will Stamps: "I graduated from the University of Illinois with a B.A. in History in 1973. After working in New York City, I enrolled in graduate studies at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia in the study of American History. I received my J.D. degree from Wake Forest University School of Law in 1979 and began the practice of law in Atlanta, Georgia. I am a principal in the law firm of Zusmann, Small, Stamps & White, A Professional Corporation. My primary areas of practice include general and corporate representation, corporate reorganization and commercial litigation..."
