Biography

Terry Young hails from Kvinesdal, Norway and Sylvio Kosz is from Dunakeszi, Hungary. They were friends and MusicAL developers for years when Sylvio one day suggested that they do a Christmas album together. Both have been musicians all their life. Sylvio studied piano at the Targu Mures Music Conservatory in Romania, and at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, Hungary. Having been musical director of the band "Cotton Club Singers", he also produced albums for Hungarian movie star Szulák Andrea. Sylvio conducted bands in RTL and TV2 shows, and today works as a professor in jazz piano and arrangements, teaching at the Egressy Béni High School of Music, Budapest. Terry Young struck his first piano and guitar chords at the age of six, and whilst having been sent to a piano teacher, he preferred playing by ear and decided to close the note sheets permanently. Already at the age of 18 he had been in and out of several bands, before going to Oslo to work as a manager in the music industry, working with some of the major acts in Scandinavia at the time. He also resided for a period in Hamburg, Germany, working exclusively as a songwriter. Today he works from a custom-built studio in his hometown, and also owns his own the production company Young & Strong.
