The Symptoms
The Symptoms are a Scottish rock band formed in Kilmarnock, Scotland in August 2007. They were formed by school friends Jamie Moan, Paul McGurn, Craig Paterson and Duncan McInnes, all of whom attended St Joseph's RC Academy. In 2008, Martin Milloy was added to the line up. They are one of the most commonly known unsigned acts in Ayrshire and have played over one hundred gigs in venues as far afield as Warrington, England and Elgin, Scotland. In addition, they have played at the O2 Academy Glasgow in front of over one thousand people. In July 2009, The Symptoms played to around twenty thousand people at a rally held against the closure of the local Johnnie Walker whisky bottling plant. The Symptoms are also previous winner of the Amplify Unsigned competition run by West FM and East Ayrshire Council. They currently publish their own work on EP Music, a local publishing and promotions company.
