Ted Hart (author)

Theodore Richard "Ted" Hart (born April 23, 1964) is an American author and lecturer, better known by his author name Ted Hart. He started his career in Rochester, NY with United Cerebral Palsy, he went on to serve with distinction at the Center for Environmental Information and Lakeside Health System in NY before moving on to Johns Hopkins as their Chief Development Officer on the Bayview Campus and then as CEO of the University of Maryland Medical System Foundation. He is now one of the foremost lecturers in the world on nonprofit/charity/NGO use of the Internet for fundraising, social networking and management, he is now headquartered in Washington DC And New York city. His first book Fundraising On The Internet was published by Jossey Bass in 2001.

In 2000 Hart founded of the international ePhilanthropy Foundation and has been author to several books and articles. He is known to be a dynamic and energetic speaker with the unique ability to make complex and new topics feel approachable and familiar. He considered one of the foremost experts in both online and traditional fundraising around the world. He is sought after internationally as an inspirational and practical speaker and consultant on topics related to nonprofit strategy and board/volunteer development both online and offline.
