T. Shabu Joseph

T. Shabu Joseph is an Old Testament Scholar who currently is the Secretary of the scholarly Society for Biblical Studies in India, a Learned society, incorporating Biblical Scholars of the Protestant, Orthodox, Roman Catholic and Charismatic traditions.

Thottumkal Shabu Joseph studied scriptures from 1995 to 1999 at the Pontifical Biblical Institute, Rome.

From 1999 to 2004 he taught Old Testament at Kristu Jyoti College, Bengaluru (aggregated to the Salesian Pontifical University, Rome). During the same period, he was also associated with other theologates. In 2004 he registered as a doctoral candidate at the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum), Rome and was awarded the doctoral degree in 2008.

Shabu also spent time in North America and took an introductory course on the Bible for Beginners while at the St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Concord, California. During that time, he became an ACTIVE member of the Catholic Biblical Association of America.

Since 2008, Shabu Joseph is Administrator at Visvadeep under Kristu Jyoti College, Bengaluru.
