The Southside Hockey Team of St. Louis, commonly referred to as The Southside, is an American Amateur inline hockey team based in south St. Louis, Missouri, United States. Founded in 2009, the team won the 2009 League Championship in the Franchise's inaugural season with a record of 9-2-1, led by leading scorer Kevin McDaniel and outstanding goaltending from Brian Friese. The roster is mostly comprised of St. Mary's High School Alum of south St. Louis City.

The Southside plays its home games at the All- American Tour Arena in nearby South County, Missouri. The team's colors are green, white and black. The team is coached by Player Captain/Coach Chris Reh.

History
The Franchise was founded in 2009 by team owner Timothy Hanrahan with sponsorship by Bar40 of South St. Louis city. The ownership gained local sponsorship from Bar40 in early November 2009, began drafting young talent out of the south city area, (primarily St. Mary's High School Alum) and joined the All-American Tour Arena amateur division shortly there after.

After losing the Franchise's first 2 games, the team gained quick notoriety by finishing the rest of their inaugural season undefeated, and going on to win the 2009 League Championship Cup.

Team Successes
The Franchise has seen many successes since The Southside began in 2009. In their first season in the league the team was the only expansion team to make the playoffs. The team has made the playoffs every season since the team joined the league. In January 2010 The Southside became Regular Season League Champions and continued on to beat ATI 7-3 to win its first League Championship Cup. In 2010, The Southside looks to keep the winning tradition alive by entering the season as defending champions.
