Indian School Ras Al Khaimah founded in 1979, is a Modern English Medium School. It is managed by The INDIAN Association.Situated in Nakheel, Ras al-Khaimah,The school is recognised by the Ministry of Education of the United Arab Emirates and affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in New Delhi. It has adopted the same syllabus as the Central Schools Organization and prepares students for the All India Secondary School Examination and Senior School Certificte Examination of the CBSE, New Delhi (India). It prepares students for the C.B.S.E. Examinations conducted for Class X as well as for the Senior Secondary Level viz. Class XII.
History
It was officially inaugurated on 5th November 1979 by H. H. Sheikh Saqr Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah.With 45 children in K.G. section. Now it has stretched out to six divisions each in lower and upper K.G’
Academic quality
The faculty is global so also the taught. The teachers with their strong commitment foster an environment to keep the children mentally agile and open to welcome learning. The academic programme is well designed to equip the tiny tots to a wider exposure by the way of frequent Picnics, Cartoon viewing, music classes, P.T. display, Sports and Games.
The school has grown in strength and has been successfully imparting education to the children of 16 different nationalities for more than 2 decades. At present They have nearly 2000 Students, 98 Teaching Staff and 26 Non-Teaching Staff

Curriculum-Scheme Of Education
The school follows the curriculum conforming to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi.
The medium of instruction is English. The other languages taught at present are Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Urdu, Bengali and French. Arabic is compulsory for Classes UKG to X in accordance with the U.A.E. Ministry of Education rules.
Islamic Studies is offered to Muslim students and Moral instruction to students of other communities. At the end of Class IX, the students appear for the Gulf Sahodaya Examination, which is common for the Gulf countries.
At the end of Class X they appear for the All India Secondary School Examination of CBSE, New Delhi. The School offers Senior School Certificate Course in Science and Commerce Streams conforming to the curriculum set by CBSE, New Delhi.
