Star Wars Republic: Show of Force is a two-part story arc in the Star Wars: Republic series of comic books written by John Ostrander. The first issue was published on 2 July 2004 by Dark Horse Comics. The series is set in the Star Wars galaxy shortly before the events in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, and 19.5 years before the Battle of Yavin in Episode IV: A New Hope
