Stadler Form Aktiengesellschaft is a Swiss designer, developer and manufacturer of home and climate appliances. Its headquarters is at Zug, Switzerland.

Name

The company name derives from the family name of the founder Martin Stadler and Form (design).

History

The company was founded by Martin Stadler in 1998, after he decided to resign as commercial director at Swiss daughter of the Italian CoFFEE company Illycaffè S.p.A.. Martin came up with the idea of a design company after he could not find a humidifier in stores, which would not be so boring and was able to suit to a stylish interior. He shared his idea with his friend, the young Swiss designer Matti Walker (Matti Walker) and in 1999 the first product of Stadler Form - futuristic air humidifier FRED was born. Fred is still in the current model range, and along with the latest products sold successfully to this day in more than 20 countries from the U.S. to Japan. From 2001 Stadler Form started a successful cooperation with Christoph Sutter (Coplax AG) for ODM and OEM development of small domestic appliances. In 2005, in connection with business expansion and the need to maintain product availability for customers, it was decided to move most production to Asia. In 2006, Stadler Form announced the creation of MACH holding (MArtin and CHris Sutter), which today includes 4 companies: Stadler Form Aktiengesellschaft, Coplax AG, Swizz Style Inc. (USA distribution) and Formsign AG (Swiss distribution of lifestyle products). In early 2010, Jurg Banziger, the former CEO for air treatment business unit in Plaston AG (Air-O-Swiss, Boneco) joined the MACH Group and took the responsibility of small domestic appliances in Coplax and the US business of the group (Swizz Style inc.). in 2010, Stadler Form announced the opening of the official representative in Russia.
