Spero news

Spero News is an American conservative news and news analysis website. Its goal is "promoting a correctly informed and discerning public opinion as reflected in Judeo-Christian values." "Spero" means "I hope" in Latin.

According to its own estimates the site currently generates AbOUT 100,000 unique visitors per month. Its content is written primarily by "citizen journalists", which it recruits on the web. Spero News is used as a reference by Wikipedia, and is linked to by major news sources such as the New York Times. Spero News does not publish a masthead or any information about its editorial policies.

Spero News was launched in April 2005 by Robert Duncan, an IT consultant and journalist based in Madrid, Spain, and Clint Gillespie, a computer programmer based in Houston, Texas. The organization is headquartered at 13430 Sable Lane, Houston, Texas. The Spero group, launched in 2002, also includes the sites Daily Estimate and Impact Wire.
