Delta Upsilon – Sigma Kappa Sigma chapter
Sigma Kappa Sigma (ΣΚΣ) is an active chapter of the Delta Upsilon (ΔY); an international, all-male, college, Greek letter social fraternity. It is located at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario. The Sigma Kappa Sigma chapter was established as an independant fraternity at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario in 1929. In 1931 the memebers petitioned the international fraternity, Delta Upsilon for inclusion and on December 5, 1931 they were installed as the Western Ontario Chapter of Delta Upsilon. Sigma Kappa Sigma and subsequently Delta Upsilon was the first fraternity on campus, and thus the oldest and largest fraternal organization. As staying true to Delta Upsilon headquarters guidelines, the chapter is completely non-hazing and non-secretive. It is a belief that no one should be humiliated to foster brotherhood amongst its members. Its members are a reflection of this belief as there are many alumni who proceeded into the field of the social sciences.
